Today is THE day everyone! It's the day we've been planning, sweating, anticipating, and freaking out over for months; today, we're officially announcing the launch of our kids line.
We're beyond excited to introduce you to our line of MINI ROMP's, our one-piece active wear rompers specifically designed for kids. The first line in our MINI ROMP series is the X Back Mini Romper for kids. This style has more coverage and a super flattering cut, crossing just below the shoulder blades. Adult sizing in the X Back Romper will be available soon.
For our kids photo shoot, we worked with an awesome set of girls and their parents. Our featured models, Reagan, Kiley, Devyn, Isadora, Kira, Sylvie, and Aniyah, could not have been cuter. They truly were a dream to work with and were so adorable. They made us excited to have kiddos of our own one day...still a few years out. ;)
One of our favorite parts about doing our product shoots is working with our good friend Emmy of Emmy Lowe Photo. We danced together in university and love that we're all able to connect and work together in our careers. Em takes amazing photos and we can't recommend or thank her enough for her work.
We'd also like to do a huge shout out & thanks to the moms and family members who came to the shoot. Without you NONE of this would have been possible. Our own mom even came down for the shoot - thanks Ma. <3
A few CRAZY things that happened at the shoot (because things never go as expected - that's a lesson we're learning every day in this business):
1. We bought a mini trampoline on the way to the photo shoot as a last minute idea to get fun action shots. I didn't realize said trampoline required assembly. It took literally all of the moms (and my amazing friend, Jesse) to get the trampoline to stretch across the frame. We were pulling, grunting, sweating, and close to giving up. At the last minute the tramp was assembled! hooray!
2. I'm lucky enough to teach most of these cute model/dancers every week at studios across the Salt Lake Valley. They're all incredibly talented little dancers, and more importantly, kind, smart, and caring little humans. It was also interesting because none of the girls knew each other before hand. Despite their initial hesitations, they became quick friends.
3. The shoot was just 1-hour but we all left sweaty and emotionally exhausted. It's nerve-wrecking to put something out in to the universe that you created. It's always a leap of faith and courage. I love this quote by Steve Jobs on following your dreams:
How cute do Ashley, Addie, and Monet look in their Rompcakes in class last night?! We love it!! Thanks to Addie for sending in the pic. If you want to be featured on our katieandkellie social media feeds, tag us in a pic of you rockin' your romper!
